Meet the Anchors Gals
Alex Flewitt
OWNER
In 2023, Alex joined forces with the phenomenal Jenny Rowley to re-open Anchors for the island with a new twist, some fashion events, the new Club Anchors and more! More than anything, they want to provide an important service to Alderney and the Channel Islands as well as honouring the legacy Jo Boughton-Leigh gave us all.
In 2025 Jenny retired from the shop and Alex took the baton solo! 2026 promises to be an enormous year with Anchors clothing boutique becoming "Anchors Aweigh" and welcoming a new sister establishment next door with the wonderful "Anchors Home" by the summer. Watch this space!
Alex is ably assisted by her lovely friends who volunteer behind the counter - Jane, Sarah, Geraldine and Belinda. They are all key members of the team and affectionately known as the Anchors Gals.
